| 3" 8MM Custom Softail Harley Davidson Belt Drive Kits, With Diaphragm Spring Clutch!! "Belt Drives Limited" These kits are truly a custom builders delight. Manufactured by Belt Drives Limited (BDL) for unsurpassed quality in the motorcycle industry. All kits include BDL's "quiet clutch" with Kevlar fiber plates that virtually eliminates the clutch rattle that is normally associated with open belt drives. Our one piece, CNC machined billet aluminum motor plate features a double row sealed bearing for maximum strength on the main shaft. The starter ring gear pocket is recessed into the plate and the starter housing is designed to cover most of the open area of the gear. To further enhance the appearance, a polished aluminum cover is included that fits behind the front pulley and camouflages the stator. A side guard is held in place with hex stand-offs and button head allens. Fits: Harley Davidson Softail 1990-Up (Require Use Of 1991 Or Later Starter Motor) We also include a special starter gear. Includes instructions. Softail kits include a two piece front pulley consisting of a 3" wide pulley and a splined steel insert. By replacing the included insert with a longer one, along with the corresponding alternator mount and offset transmission mounting plate, you can install these belt drive kits on frames designed for wide tire applications.
