| Wide Swing Arm Kits for Twin Cam Softails!! Due to the construction of the engine and transmission set up of the Twin Cam Softail it is not possible to off- set the transmission to make room for 200 or bigger tires. The Wide and Extra swing arm kits enables you to mount up to 250 monster tires in your stock Softail. The wide tire kit will accept 200 tires on 6 1/2" rim using the stock belt. The Extra Wide swing arm takes 230 wide tires on an 8" wide rim with the stock belt. The Extra wide swing arm will also accept 240 and 250 tires on 8" or 8 1/2" rim if the wheel is slightly offset to the right or final chain drive is used!! Fits Harley Davidson TC-88 Softail!! Kit includes the following: Swing Arm with wheel axle, Complete 12 or 25 mm primary offset kit, including primary spacer ring, crankshaft extension and extension nut, Primary gasket kit, Extended transmission main shaft and main drive gearing, Extended starter motor coupling and extended primary bolts. The trick caliper bracket enables the use of a stock rear caliper. For 230 tires on 15" rim a small modification of the OEM caliper may be needed. Tabs for the belt guard are welded in place. | |
